The Screen

The Screenshot Golf impact screen is a retractable, motorized golf simulator screen custom-built to your opening or wall and professionally installed. It uses a 1/8-inch dyed-white warp knit fabric engineered for projection clarity and sound absorption.

How does a retractable golf impact screen work?

The screen deploys from a roller tube at the push of a button and rolls up neatly when play is done. A motor drives the tube, side tracks hold the fabric flat and square, and a single-channel remote controls it.

It is an electric, fully automatic screen. The motor is a UL-listed 110-volt plug-in unit with obstacle detection, so the screen stops if something is in its path. A wireless wall switch, app control, and multi-channel controllers are available if you want the screen on the same system as the rest of the room.

What is the screen made of?

The screen is a dyed-white warp knit at 1/8 inch thick. The thickness absorbs sound and cuts the echo that makes a garage simulator sound like a garage. The dyed-white finish holds a clean projection surface with a sharper image and fewer hot spots.

It is engineered for golf and sports simulator enclosures, not repurposed from something else. The specific mill and material grade are listed in the spec table below.

What sizes are available?

Every screen is built to order, sized to your specific opening rather than cut down from a fixed set of stock sizes. Two cassette sizes cover the range.

The 5-inch cassette runs up to 168 inches (14 feet) wide by 120 inches (10 feet) of total drop. The 7-inch cassette runs up to 264 inches (22 feet) wide by 168 inches (14 feet) of total drop. Drop is measured from the top of the cassette box to the floor.

5-inch cassette

168 in. (14 ft) wide × 120 in. (10 ft) drop

18 in. clearance behind

7-inch cassette

264 in. (22 ft) wide × 168 in. (14 ft) drop

24 in. clearance behind

Minimum size for both: 108 in. (9 ft) wide × 96 in. (8 ft) drop.

What finishes does the hardware come in?

The cassette box and side tracks are powder-coated aluminium, available in six finishes so the hardware either disappears into the opening or reads as a deliberate line against it.

  • Onyx Matte
  • Walnut Matte
  • Sierra Matte
  • Desert Sand Gloss
  • Alpine Matte
  • White Gloss

Swatches are indicative. Alpine and White are the same white in matte and gloss. Ask your dealer for a physical sample before specifying a finish.

Is it compatible with my launch monitor?

Yes. Screenshot Golf builds the impact screen only. It works alongside any launch monitor, projector, mat, or simulator software you choose. We do not sell simulator packages, and we do not lock you to any hardware.
